Custom Shoeboxes: a simple solution for storage

You've discovered an ideal home but are unsure how to make it work for you. For many tenants, the relief of having a reasonably priced home is quickly replaced by a fear of storage space scarcity. Do not panic if you feel a little cramped in your small house. Consider the following helpful organizing tips to assist you in settling into your house more comfortably. All that is needed are a few custom shoeboxes!

Organization of drawers:

Drawers are one of a small home's redeeming features if they're greater! The issue is that whether you have a series of deep, large drawers under the bed or in the room, it's difficult to locate items inside.

So what is the remedy? Opaque shoe boxes! Sort the contents of your drawers into distinct categories and then place them in those shoeboxes to make identifying things much faster. Pens, markers, and crayons may occupy one box, while gadgets may occupy another. It's entirely up to you what you need to store! Simply fill a shoebox with identical items to avoid having to scroll further when the moment arises.

Tidying the closet:

You are not unique if your socks are coming out of the shelves or drawers of your dresser. Is your clothing burdening them? Again, this is a somewhat daily thing.

To keep your closet organized, consider allocating two or three shoe boxes to your dresser drawers or closet area. Once combined, place clean socks in one box, underwear in the other.  Are you a swimmer who hoards swimsuits? Put each swimsuit in its designated shoebox to keep it separate from the rest of your clothes.

This eliminates the need to scan through an entire drawer of undergarments for the thing you're searching for. Additionally, storing small clothing pieces in shoeboxes prevents them from mixing in other areas of the closet. This type of organization mechanism is perfect for storing pop buttons, zippers, and other clothing pieces before they can be repaired.

Remove unnecessary items from kitchen cabinets:

There are so many small things lying about in the majority of people's kitchen cabinets that many are only discovered before relocating. Between loose tea bags, packs of juice crystals and sauce, stock cubes, and the occasional Peanut butter jar, the kitchen cabinets will quickly become cluttered.

Introduce a pair of transparent or color-coded shoeboxes for certain non-perishable cupboard dwelling items. Keep it plain, but not excessively so: 1 package for savory items and 1 box for sweet items. Another for all the tricky little items that are only used a few times a year, such as for cake decorating.

Additionally, you will benefit from the use of spare custom cardboard boxes, especially the ones that have a single color, for your spice range. Dried herbs and spices do get rancid with time, so it's best to store them carefully in a dim, cold environment.

Depending on the climate, a shoebox filled with herbs and spices can be best kept in the corners of your pantry, on a top shelf in the fridge, including inside the fridge. Confirm that the bottles' lids are securely locked to prolong the life of the items.

Get Ingenious:

Almost anything is possible in a rented house, regardless of its size—particularly if shoeboxes accumulate! If you're concerned that simple shoeboxes would clash with your decorative style, why not dress them up a little?

What you need is some adhesive, and your favorite wallpaper or gift sheet. Cover the boxes carefully in paper and you've created an eye-catching design item for every place in the house!

When you've decorated your shoebox array, you can use any of the boxes to store valuable everyday products that don't have a permanent home. Batteries, extra remote controls, mismatched socks, and game controllers can all be stored discreetly in their allocated shoeboxes before they are required. It's an excellent way to hide unsightly objects inside a charming, stylish shoebox!

Jewelry Box:

You can turn a shoebox into a lovely decorated jewelry box by using twine ribbon and cloth.

Elegant Decor Shelves:

Utilize a shoe box as a floating wall shelf by painting it, covering it in linen, or furnishing it in a myriad of areas.
